Temples Dot the Earth Bookmark

Bro. Rick Satterfield from LDSChurchTemples.com has so graciously allowed me to turn his "Temples to Dot the Earth World Map" sheet into bookmarks for the sisters we all Visit Teach or even use them in lessons too. If you haven't ever been to his site, you must go there now. It's so amazing! He's done a great job with it and has included pictures, slide-shows and even fun facts about all of the LDS Temples.

Here's a picture of the world map which he designed: (so cool!)

Stats: 129 operating temples, 9 temples under construction, 8 temples announced.
I've included the following quotes on the bookmark by Elder David A. Bednar Of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles from his General Conference address titled “Honorably Hold a Name and Standing,” which can now be found in the May 2009 edition of the Ensign or Liahona.
“Today temples dot the earth as sacred places of ordinances and covenants, of edification, and of refuge from the storm.”
“As we stand in the waters of baptism, we look to the temple. As we partake of the sacrament, we look to the temple. We pledge to always remember the Savior and to keep His commandments as preparation to participate in the sacred ordinances of the temple and receive the highest blessings available through the name and by the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ. Thus, in the ordinances of the holy temple we more completely and fully take upon us the name of Jesus Christ.”

Temple Bookmark Instructions

  1. Print on cardstock.

  2. Cut out along solid lines. (You should have 2 Bookmarks)

  3. Fold on dotted lines and add a bit of glue to keep it together.

  4. Laminate bookmark.

  5. Trim lamination, but leave at least a 1/8 - 1/4 inch of lamination on all sides. (Making sure you are outside of the “bubble” so the lamination doesn’t spilt or come apart.)

Bonus: You can even use these for Home Teaching, Young Men, Young Women, Relief Society, etc... basically any lesson having to do with Temples!

Hope you like them, I sure do!

  2. That's awesome! You made a lot of them. So, glad I was able to help you out with that, too bad I couldn't help you trim and laminate them too. :) What a task! You really are amazing for doing that for them. They are so blessed to have you in their midst. ♥ Linda

  3. Thanks so much for these bookmarks. I made them for my sisters who I teach.
I am also a Family History Consultant, and I give them to the people I help with the newfamilysearch.

There have been a lot of lessons in church, Sunday School, Relief Society etc. on temples this past month. When something is repeated often then we need to sit up and take notice. That is something the Lord is emphasizing to us.
