Wonder Gal 2010 Calendar

This is the year. For real this time! This is the year that I will for sure be doing the things which I've been meaning to do for a long time, but just can't seem to get myself to do them. LOL 2010 is pretty much here and in order to set those goals and resolutions I'll need a calendar. So, I will obviously share the one I made using a digital paper pack from LetteringDelights.com called "Cherry on Top." Included is a quote from Julie B Beck from the January 2010 Visiting Teaching Message as well as the scripture reference found in D&C 109:8, has a cute & modest "wonder woman/super girl" clip art to help remind me that I CAN do anything and lastly the Visiting Teaching 5, 10, 15, 20 rule to remind me to KIT (keep in touch) with the sisters I Visit Teach in order to actually get my VT done each month. Print it, laminate it and put a magnet on it so your sisters can put it on their fridge, magnetic wall, door or wherever. Seems like everyone needs calendars.

BTW If the sisters you Visit Teach don't visit teach (I only know some don't because the sisters I VT don't go to church yet but are ok having Visiting Teachers assigned to them.), I've included one without the VT schedule so you don't have to feel awkward giving that one to them. But it's up to you. It's definitely a helpful tool to those who do Visit Teach.

Happy New Year!

  4. This is just precious! I love the text border and the Super VT gal! She's adorable. I so appreciate your helpful ideas and will be printing this up for my gals. TFS!

Cindy - if you go to the top calendar example, just to the right of center, you'll see the suggested dates 5, 10, 15, 20 and what you might want to schedule on that day. HTH!

    Love the calendar!

  5. Cindy,
You're so cute, I explained the 5, 10, 15, 20 system in the PDF file. But I can explain it here too.
Make contact with your sister by the 5th.
Make an appointment to visit your sister by the 10th.
Make your visit by the 15th.
Call your supervisor by the 20th of each month.
It's hard to do, but when you do it this way, it doesn't feel like you're waiting til the last minute and it doesn't make you feel like you've slacked off as a Visiting Teacher and helps you to always be in contact with your sisters. I put it on there mainly for me, LOL cause I really need to learn the schedule and live by it, so I am sure you probably don't need the reminder. If you visit on the 1st then, that's better than the system anyways. :)
Thanks for your commitment to Visiting Teaching!

  6. Sherri,
Wow, thanks for the sweet comment. You made my day! That's pretty handy that you have those magnetic sheets, I wish I had some of those. I still need to go to Kinkos to print mine and then laminate it. LOL I have a laminator here at home but not color toner for my printer. LOL it's all backwards. No worries, I'll get it done this week! Thanks for motivating me. I really needed that and couldn't have done it without you and the other sisters who comment.

Thanks for the comment! and for helping Cindy with the 5,10,15,20 rule. I really need to follow it. It's going to be the 15th and I've only made contacts but not appointments. :( Anyway. Glad you like the calendar.
