86 Day Book of Mormon Challenge Schedule

General Conference was by far the most amazing conference yet! Maybe it was all the hype or maybe it was because the Prophet of the Lord has challenged us (the sisters) to take a break from social media for 10 days, read the Book of Mormon before the end of the year, go to the temple and learn more about Relief Society and participate in it. What I really loved is how he shared his love for us. The look on his face as he said he loved us, was priceless and I could really feel of the Savior's love through His chosen servant.

Here's a summary of what he said found here: "To the Women of The Church we Need You."

"'Women shape the future,' he said. He invited them to help shape the gathering of Israel by doing four things:

Participate in a 10-day fast from social media and from any other negative or impure media. President Nelson encouraged women to notice how the fast affects our priorities and then to record and act on spiritual impressions we receive.
Read the Book of Mormon between now and the end of the year. President Nelson suggested that as we read, we mark each verse that refers to the Savior and talk about Him with friends and family.
Establish a pattern of regular temple attendance. Time in the temple can lead to greater understanding about how to draw upon God’s priesthood power, President Nelson said.
Participate fully in Relief Society. He added that studying the Relief Society purpose statement and the Relief Society declaration can help women understand who we are and who the Lord needs us to be."

I just finished the Book of Mormon and I had been pondering if I would want to restart the BOM again. I decided to wait a few days and see how Conference went to decide and it was yet again another answer to prayer. I guess that means, YES, Linda you need to read the Book of Mormon again before the end of the year. :)

So, of course, I needed to calculate how many pages we needed to read and it's 6.2 pages so let's round up to 7 pages just in case we miss a day or want to finish early. So 7 pages a day for 86 days. We have to count from the day he said which was October 6, 2018 and ending December 31, 2018.

Then a client of mine sent me the schedule all typed up (so I could design her a bookmark for her Relief Society) and was prompted to make "more work for myself" LOL or sacrifice some time & talents to design these for the Lord, and so I made a lock screen and a pretty 4x6 too! Don't worry she is getting a different design. What's awesome is to know so many thousands upon thousands of sisters are also reading the exact (or close to) pages in the Book of Mormon. That's special and powerful!
